75 th Republic Day , 2024 was celebrated by Niketians with patriotic fervor by unfurling the tri – coloured flag. The p rogramme included speeches in three languages about the significance of the day. The songs and dances were heart touching and aroused patriotism. It was a wonderful occasion where we remembered our great leaders who were part of the freedom struggle. The Program concluded with the full version of Jana Gana Mana. We remember the words of Rabindranath Tagore from Gitanjali, “where the mind is without fear…….. Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection…… Where the mind is lead forward by thee, into ever widening thought and action into that heaven of freedom, my father, Let my Country awake. Let us carry on the patriotic spirit as long as we live.
